We are also getting a Group photo at the end, and photos will be taken during the Memorial. A final project will also be created on the worldwide web, and more.
Because of Judge Burnett’s long career and life’s work, totaling about 70 of his 89 years, the internet does not have as much during a critical period in America (1950-1975) which Judge Burnett played a large role, some of it now just being released, upon his death.

This CELEBRATION OF LIFE is also the PUBLIC MEMORIAL for Judge Burnett, as there will be no Funeral or Wake. The Family is having a one hour memorial at their church in DC on Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 11-12. The only other

Judge Burnett’s involvement in the USDOJ Honors Programs, led to him serving as Special Assistant to Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy for an extended period of time, reporting back on Martin Luther King Jr, and on significant developments in the civil rights movement,
Judge Arthur Burnett would end up being with Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy, when he learned his brother, President John F. Kennedy was killed. Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy, would swear Judge Arthur Burnett in as Deputy Attorney General, that day, for 24 Hours, while he stayed at USDOJ, would go home to his wife and children.

Arthur Burnett became the Assistant General Counsel in charge of the Legal Advisory Division of what was then the United States Civil Service Commission to act on harmonizing the Affirmative Action and Merit Systems; and, President Jimmy Carter had Arthur take a lead role in establishing a major initiative to revise the Federal Civil System, Arthur Burnett was assigned to work with the White House Counsel’s Office and was the principal drafter of the legislation that became the Civil Service Reform Act of 1978, leading to the creation of the Office of Personnel Management, the Merit Systems Protection Board, the Federal Labor Relations Authority, and the Office of Special Counsel to deal with Hatch Act allegations.
