BRIEF SUMMARY:  Youth Court, Teen Court, Student Court, Peer Jury, Youth Peer Court and Peer Court.which have been expanding locally for 30 years in America. They are operated by more than 15+ types of organizations and agencies, primarily in the Justice, School, and Community-Based Settings, and they are the most replicated Juvenile Justice Diversion Program in America by a 10+ to 1 Ratio, and the most common School Disciplinary Program in Lieu of Suspension and Arrest, often leading to more formal and continual involvement with the Justice System. There are over 2100+ Youth Court, Teen Court, Student Court, Peer Jury, Youth Peer Court and Peer Court Diversion Programs in 48 USA States, 35+ Tribes, and 12 Countries.

Approximately 400 of the 2,100 are in Schools, as they are utilized for school disciplinary problems, in lieu of suspension, or calling the Police to have students arrested.  Approximately 900 of them are Administered by Police, Sheriff, District Attorney, Public Defender, Courts, and Probation, and Approximately 800 are Administered by Community Organizations, such as Nonprofits, Social, Civic, and Related.  In almost all settings, they are a Localism Approach . — handle Juvenile Crimes, Offenses, and Violations on a Local Level, such a Town or Village instead of the County.  And, they are also the most replicated Essential Service Youth Program in America, and there is nothing comparable when it comes to involving Young People in Local Democracy, as more than 100,000+ Youth primarily ages 12-19 as volunteers in court roles to help their peers.

These Youth Court, Teen Court, Student Court, Peer Jury, Youth Peer Court and Peer Court are Rule of Law Programs, within the context of Diversion, and they have strong public support, as they are in the middle — not letting youth off the hook with no consequences for crimes, offenses, and violations, and not entrenching these Youth in the Justice System.  About half of these 2100+ do not arrest or charge youth, if they complete their peer imposes sanctions.

Global Youth Justice, Inc. has a public domain approach.  We do not copyright or trademark anything, and we are not a membership or dues paying nonprofit 501c3, but it is now a 501c3   Global Youth Justice, Inc. is the 30 year effort by it’s founder Scott Peterson, that began as his first project at age 23 establishing a nonprofit in NY called Youth Courts of the Capital District, Inc. on December 13, 1993, and Scott was the founder and Executive Director.  Next, at age 27, the Executive Branch of the US Governmnt asked Scott to lead the first federal, national or country level in the world.  That became the U.S. Department of Justice’s Federal Youth Court Project for 10+ years, and then gradually became Global Youth Justice, Inc. as an LLC Volunteer Venture in 2009, and then nonprofit in 2015 and 501c3 in 2019.

Global Youth Justice, inc. Subsidizes these trainings, so the $195 registration fee is 100% spent back on participants and the training, and we do not make $1 off anyone.  We typically spend $125 of $195 back on food: 3 lunches and 3 breakfasts and 3 breaks.  More money on materials and notebooks, etc.
