USA State Networks and Coalitions
The list below of state networks, coalitions, and groups on Youth/Teen/Student/Peer Court and Peer Jury diversion programs are formal and informal. In some states, there are one or more regional networks. The number of formal and informal state networks and coalitions has increased from approximately five (5) in 1997, to nineteen (19) in 2021, with more expected to be established in the coming years.
In 2021-22, Global Youth Justice, Inc. launched a $5,000 State Mini-Grant Program, and thus far we have provided 23 State Grants for Training Team of 5 and strengthen formal and informal State Networks and Associations. We also support Tribal and Indigenous Networks and Associations of these Youth-Led Diversion Programs, and any of the U.S. Territories. And, we have awarded 50 more $2,000 Mini-Grants to Local Programs for for 9/11 Day Projects (25 x $2,000 in 2021) and (25 x $2,000 in 2022) and more planned.
No state network or coalition listed below has any authority to mandate local communities within a state how they must operate one of these local diversion programs.
